Anti AI Privacy Policy

Anti AI is a browser extension by Codexist Labs that detects AI-generated posts, images and videos on supported websites and labels, blurs or hides them. This policy explains what data the extension handles. The short version: we do not collect, store, sell or share any of your personal data.

What the extension reads

To do its job, Anti AI reads the content of supported pages (X, Reddit, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, YouTube and Google Search) as they load in your browser. This includes post text, images and videos, and any AI labels the platform shows. All of this analysis happens locally on your device. Page content is never sent to Codexist Labs or to any other server.

Image metadata checks

To look for AI generator metadata and content credentials (C2PA), the extension may download the first part (up to 512 KB) of an image file from the same image server your browser already loaded it from. These requests are sent without cookies or login details, and the results are only kept in temporary memory on your device.

What the extension stores

Anti AI stores only its own settings: whether it is switched on, your sensitivity level, your label, blur or remove choices, and the list of sites you paused. These are saved with Chrome’s built-in storage. If you have Chrome sync turned on, Google syncs them between your own browsers under Google’s privacy policy. Codexist Labs never receives them.

What we do not do

  • No accounts, sign-ups or personal information.
  • No analytics, tracking, advertising or browsing history collection.
  • No selling or transferring of user data to third parties.
  • No use of data for anything unrelated to detecting AI content, and no use for creditworthiness or lending.

Removing your data

Uninstalling Anti AI removes its settings from your browser.

Changes to this policy

If a future version adds features that handle personal data (for example, a paid tier with accounts), we will update this policy and the Chrome Web Store disclosures before that version is released.
